Pisces

As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisceans often have a sneaky feeling that they have seen everything before and this time round it's getting a bit boring. If you're a Pisces you're presumed to be something of a old soul, and astrologers into reincarnation say that in their terms you've been around the block a few times. Perhaps these feelings are behind Pisces' accepting natures, which sometimes lead an extreme 'anything goes' approach to existence. For Pisces nothing can mean everything or everything can mean nothing. They are prone to feeling and being lost and confused; for everyone else they often are confusing to be around.

More positively, these people have great stocks of empathy and a tendency to unfathomable inspirational moments. They like make-believe stuff; poets and other hyper-sensitive artists are typical Pisceans. They like to lose themselves - and find themselves - in universal human experiences such as obsessing over a hero, religious worship and mysticism, alcoholic reverie or stupor and helping underdogs. Some of them get very depressed at times.

Pisceans are hugely compassionate and self-effacing, characteristics that provoke a tendency to be scenarios of rescuing, victimization and/or martyrdom. To explain; the rescuer feels endless compassion for the victim, the victim has lost something - maybe sense of direction, ego, will; and the martyr invests energy in sacrifice. All of these approaches to life are appealing and very familiar to the Pisces. It is important that Pisceans are aware of this and move away from chaos, self-pity, lack of will and gullibility and find appropriate outlets for their compassionate, generous and dreamy natures to express themselves.

Themes of loss, suffering, sacrifice, hope, religion, regret and redemption run through Cash's life and music. The soulful depth of his voice and honesty of his performances made him a star. With the Sun and Ascendant in Pisces, as well as the Sun opposite Neptune, the Pisces planet, this is hardly surprising. Cash famously performed inside jails, making the famous "At Folsom prison" album. He survived drug addiction and periods of being out of control to be rescued through the classic route of finding a good woman.
